Here at FirstAid-AZ we understand that different students are seeking different training depending upon their individual needs. Therefore we have several different options available to meet those needs. We offer a basic CPR certification which can be purchased as a standalone course or we offer a more comprehensive CPR and First Aid course for a more complete education. Both courses include AED instruction as well as training for assisting adults, children and infants in an emergency.
Each course includes a workbook, training supplies and all necessary instruction to complete certification. Each student meeting the requirements for certification will receive their certification card at the end of class which is good for 2 years. Below are brief descriptions of each class offered. If you have additional questions or specific training needs not outlined here, please give us call and we'll be happy to work with you.

This course focuses on CPR training through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise. Training includes; scene safety assessment, communicable disease protection including barrier use & blood borne pathogens, primary assessment, rescue breathing, CPR, conscious and unconscious obstructed airway management, serious bleeding management, shock management, spinal injury management and proper use of the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator). This course also meets the requirements for those seeking a refresher course for their existing CPR certification. (Class time 3-3 1/2 hrs.)
This course combines all of the items listed above for CPR certification plus it covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Additional topics covered include; injury and scene assessment, illness assessment, legal issues and consent, bandaging and splinting for dislocations and fractures, thermal, chemical & electrical burns, bites & stings, heat & cold related injuries, allergies, environmental emergencies and first aid kits. (Class time 4 1/2 - 5 hrs.)
